The residence reconstruction project included extensions to the existing house on two sides, full interior reconfiguration and an entirely new roof. The complex roof also provides the third floor living space requiring minimal interior support. This was achieved using interconnected full storey trusses, some with offset tension ties. Other features of the house include cantilevered stairways and a mixture of light gauge steel and wood framing.
