The existing bridge provided the only road access to Sioux Lookout. The owner’s engineer developed a plan for shifting the bridge sideways that permitted maintaining near continuous road service. Brown & Co. Engineering Ltd. developed the vertical and lateral jacking operation for the project on behalf of our client, Ganawa Inc., a specialist construction services company. The system provided for complete control of the bridge throughout the lateral shift while minimizing the required jacking components. For Ganawa Inc. Value of work is unknown.
