Nike World Cup

The soccer ball was a key feature of Nike's on ground advertising campaign for 2001. The ball is a fiberglass and aluminum shell structure, partially supported by an interior steel frame. The full assembly can be erected in two days and taken apart in one. The design challenges included the requirement that the structure be entirely stable in exterior conditions with no ground anchorage, support of various interior features including monitors and work stations and the need for quick assembly with small equipment and efficient packing.

Project value was unknown. For Exhibits International.
