The Ozark Park play facility was constructed with an interpretative feature reaching out into and adjacent wetland. The design criteria included a substantial cantilever to enter the wetland without disturbing it. The design developed for the site incorporated a cable stayed deck with a single central mast and splayed anchors built into the play area. The cables are kept clear of the activity deck using vertical spreaders. The resulting structure was both economic and distinctive.
